The latest movie in the Jurassic Park-series has been recently released and is breaking a lot of box-office openings, including both Avenger films. But to teach parents, their children and maybe even you a bit more about the dinosaurs featured in the Jurassic Park series, the website Jurassic Facts was launched.
Designer Nik Cann has digitally illustrated the dinosaurs, which then got teamed up with facts and figures about each dinosaur, to give you an insight into how they lived. The website is designed very well, but what interests me most are the epic illustrations of 7 dinosaurs everyone knows and the eighth that is created for this campaign.
By clicking on the menu points under each dinosaur, you can get some more information and even find out in which movie the dinosaur featured and their kill count. For the smaller ones, you can also find how to pronounce the name and the dinosaur’s call under “About”.
Nik Cann, the designer of Dinosaurus, says the following about the illustrations:
For the style of the dinosaurs I wanted to convey a nostalgic feel, influenced by the illustrations featured in the dinosaur books and encyclopaedias of my childhood. Starting out with hand-drawn sketches before working digitally really helps to keep an organic feel about the characters.
You can visit the Jurassic Facts here. Without further ado, the illustrations!
