Mario Maker is probably the most hyped Nintendo-game of the moment. It’s being released in about 9 days, but reviewers have had their hands on it for a while now and some evil and (in)genious bastards have already created some epic levels. Here’s a list of 10 of those levels!
The thing is, that you can only upload your levels if you are able to finish it yourself, so any level you’ll find online, can be cleared.
10. Link Sets Sail
A moving level (in one of the many speeds you can choose when making levels) made in the style and with the sprite of Wind Waker’s Link
9. “You’re a Monster!”
It’s not a complete level, but it sets the mood as to what the most evil people in this world will end up doing with Mario Maker
8. Troll Level
This level actually got featured by Nintendo in the game. It has the title “All the costumes unlocked! :)”, which will pull in a lot of people that still have to unlock some sprites. Little did they know…
7. Roller Coaster Levels
Roller Coaster Levels are the kind of levels that basically play themselves. Touching the controller for a split second might kill you, while some other are made to just run all the time. Here are 3 examples.
6. Super Shmup Bros.
Who says you have to stick to platforming? This user created a Shoot’m’up (shmup for short) in which you can even shoot from your “ship”
5. Donkey Kong
Because, why not make a level to a completely different franchise in Super Mario Maker?!
4. Zelda Ocarina of Time
Someone recreated Ocarina of Time’s Deku Tree temple in Super Mario Maker, or at least something that looks like it, including the falling part in the center of the main room!
3. Multi-path Mayhem
A Bowser-castle-themed level offering different routes to finish the level.
2. Wigglers Hate Drugs
Wigglers, the caterpillar-like enemies the Super Mario-series go berserk in this level
1. Winners Don’t do Shrooms
This level actually goes against everything you know about playing a Mario game. Just check it out, no spoilers!
Nintendo also added a 10 and 100 Mario challenge, where you get 10 or 100 lives (depending on the mode), to finish 8 or X levels, created by the community and Nintendo. This video takes 30 minutes, which is why I didn’t add it in the top 10.
Super Mario Maker will be released on September 11th for Wii U in a Super Mario Maker Amiibo Bundleincluding an 8-bit Mario-Amiibo and a normal edition without the Amiibo, but with the art book also included in the Amiibo-bundle.
