Every year, IKEA partners with UNICEF and Save the Children with their Soft Toys for Education-programme, to raise funds for schools, supplies, and other educational endeavours. Normally they design their own toys, but this year, they let kids design them, after which IKEA made real-world plush animals out of them.
The toys range from €3.00 (the bat) to €10.00 (the tiger, which is huge!), and for every purchased plush animal, IKEA donates € 1.00 to UNICEF and Save the Children. Through this programme, IKEA has gathered €77 million over the course of 12 years and has helped more than 11 million children in 46 countries get a better education.
